Yep leave it in the sun for a while as fabric will expand. If it's cold it will contract and be much harder to put on

This was in January too, it felt unnatural to pull it that tight and it seemed like something would rip or break but It slowly came good. I'd hate to try this in the middle of winter.

Had the same issue. The only way I could get it on was by hooking the header latch on and leaving it unlocked/slack which had about an inch gap at the windscreen. Then the top was installed with all the windows clipped in and then zipps closed. The final step was to lock the header latch. My top seemed way too short if I tried any other combination and the rear window seemed too small.

So after two years of owning my jk I decided it was soft top time.
Guess what, yep short by about 2 cm. Being a lovely sunny Melbourne day i left it to warm up for a couple of hours. Still short by the thickness of the loops at the windscreen. I didn't want to wait any more so I got the long end of a ratchet strap and hooked it onto the backend of the soft top frame, then threaded it to the front over the sound bar and wrapped it around my grab bar. I could then pull it forward enough to clip the front in. Perfect. All the windows zipped on no problem and fit nicely.
