And nor should it if the engine is in reasonable condition. I like using diesel oil in my engines, keeps them cleaner but it means that I change around the 6000km mark instead of 12000 if I used the top of the line synthetics. I also like to use the broader rage oils as they cope with the hotter temps and greater stresses associated with hot weather towing.
