Modded the rear tailshaft by turning down the TJ slip joint 2.5mm then it was a press fit inside the Patrol front prop shaft; fitted a GQ Patrol rear sway bar and it bolted straight up to the TJ 3.5" extended sway bar links - if it stops me from using the 10" of shock length, I'll order a Currie AR for the rear to match the front; modded the front prop shaft by cutting the TJ shaft before the slip joint and joining it to the Patrol slip joint with an internal sleeve made from 2" chromoly - the bellhousing needed a little grinding for clearance; outboarded the rear shocks; spent about 16 hours building the exhaust - it's so tight in the front as the front prop shaft now competes for the same space.

She's currently sitting on all 4's. Rear stretch ended up being 3" and front is 2.5" for a 100" wheelbase. Just need to plumb the brake calipers and mod the handbrake cables and make some extended flares to cover the tyres. I drove it around the yard and, with both transfer cases in low and in first gear, it crawls so slow I also got to try out a front dig and the Detroit locker destroyed some of the yard 👍 getting to the pointy end now and can't wait to beat on it

First little shake down run this arvo after plumbing up the brakes and hydro ram assist steering. Drove real nice with flat longer arms, outboarded rear shocks, higher roll centre and bigger rear swaybar. The Patrol swaybar didn't limit travel either and seems nicely balanced with the front Antirock on the middle hole. Have to fit the rest of the flares tomorrow then planning a bit more testing

Yeah I know. I always enjoy the build process and once something's done, I get a bit bored. I had a mate building a comp Hilux that I built this to keep up with. He sold it recently and none of my other wheeling buddies can keep up with this thing anymore. I've got a PX2 Ranger that keeps up with my other mates 4wd's so the Jeep is wasted on the trails they drive. I'm in two minds about it but it's only been out twice since I finished it and it seems like a waste to leave it in the shed
