Hi Tpap. Thanks for the info. I take it that there is no aftermarcket pipe that can be bought. This pipe would have to be a custom manufacture. Which exhaust gas gauge did you fit?

Exactly.
The downpipe is custom made, the same dia of the turbo outlet 75mm or aprox 3'' all the way down.

If you check the factory config with the dpf, you'll notice that the exhaust dia is getting smaller at 50mm after the filter and that means extra restriction.

I advice you to make an overall new exhaust at 3'' dia and also don't forget to make the muffler removable, so it could be easily taken out for cleaning.

I had the internals of the DPF gutted on Saterday and no more wastegate error. I will have a custom pipe made just need to find an exhaust gas temperature gauge.

Im trying to determine if the turbo may have gotten damaged due to the blocked DPF. Has anyone taken notice of the temperature of the air intake compared to outside ambient temperature. While the ambient temperature outside was about 30 degrees on Saterday. My intake was sitting about 41 to 44 degrees at highway speeds. I have a suspicion that there might be a leak from the exhaust side of the turbo.

it's a catallytic converter. dpf's inject diesel into them to burn the soot at intermittent times.

No DPF's on 2.7's WJ's - definitely cat convertor fitted close to turbo . One of my 2.7's was fitted with mandrel bent 3" sports exhaust running directly off turbo - no cat convertor - just one sports muffler near rear of vehicle - ran fast ,lower fuel consumption (7.2 lts per 100klms on trip) and cooler .Only downside was it stunk at idle when cold ! Cost close on $1000 when previous owner had it fitted by custom muffler shop 5 years ago .
