Tow mirrors

Just wondering what mirrors people are using on their WKs. I don't like the door mounted ones for two main reasons, one the top door mount can scratch the glass and secondly the flapping of the tension strap.
I tried a set of Milenco aero mirrors which attach to the car mirrors and they seemed ok. Found them currently on special at Caravans Plus for $103 plus postage of $18 which is still better than $150 in the local shops.
Problem is that Caravans Plus don't recommend them for the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee as a couple of customers complained about the retracting mirrors whatever they mean by that.
Anyone out there using them, and have you found any problem?

I have been using Milenco mirrors for 4 years now, but I have to attach them to the bottom of the mirror housing which then if you fold the mirrors in the attachment screws will hit the door. So far I haven't had any problems.

I’ll be interested to hear the results of this as well as I’m thinking about buying a WK around the end of the year.

I’ve seen criticism of “strap-on” style mirrors folding in OEM mirrors with the extra drag they create. It’d be great if aftermarket manufacturers made extendable mirrors like those available for things like the F-150’s etc.

I fit my Milencos to the top of the mirror to avoid the above-mentioned collision with the door if you fold the mirrors in. There's a small increase in vibration positioning them on top, but I like to be able to fold the mirrors back when pulling up in town.

Hi crdv6, i have these mirrors and find them excellent, they are very steady with minimum shaking. I have no problem with them folding back as I don't do that when the mirrors are fitted on my MY14 Laredo. Excellent value for money.
