Default Scan Gauge Codes

Just bought a new G/C Laredo diesel and it will be doing mostly towing a 2.8T caravan. I'm looking for the code for the transmission temperature and where have any of you fitted them, thanks in advance.

On my 2015 build Laredo, the trans temperature is available in the instrument cluster as standard option.

Alden, just be aware that my 2014 GC didn't like having a scan gauge plugged into permanently. I had a Scan Gauge 2 that I had used (permanently plugged in) in my Territory for years to monitor information not covered by the normal gauges. When I got the Grand Cherokee, I just swapped the Scan Gauge over to the Jeep......all good; BUT....after a few months it caused a fault message to flash up and the gear changes to be a bit erratic. The message said, " Service shifter", so I called into a dealer to have checked. $427 later and no fault found all was good but they had unplugged the scan gauge. After a couple of weeks I replugged the scan gauge in and up came the fault code shortly after.
I unplugged it, removed it from the vehicle as a permanent monitor and no problems since.
As previously said there are so many screens to monitor vehicle functions as standard on the GC having the scan gauge was unnecessary. I regularly have the transmission temp and oil temp one up on the dash especially when towing the van through steep country.
If I had asked the question on the forum before spending $427,
I would have quickly been told not to leave a scan gauge permanently plugged in!!

I can 2nd this on my 2014 Limited, I used a ELM327 scan tool. I only get the service shiftier notification if I leave it plugged in & switch car off & then restart (like after fueling up at servo). If I unplug, start car & then plug it back in I have no problems.

Fair enough Starion VR4, i left my scan gauge plugged in permanently and that obviously was the trouble. I wouldn't be bothered having to plug and unplug every time I used the vehicle.
It was interesting that it never ever effected the territory but the Jeep didn't like it.

There is a reason for that... The Jeep is more Sophisticated. Mine even knows what colour undies I am wearing!!!!
