I recently had a leak. Replaced both top & bottom seals.
Need to make sure the rotating arm with the ball on the end is in the hole.
I tighten the top down just a little so it can be moved & then start it & adjust the Idle down as low as it goes & then tighten the top. Works for me.

I did the top cover seal afew years ago and had to play with the top cover to get it to idle correctly and to get the flow right.

used the bog method replaced the bottom seal, but it's still leaking a bit, will bring a couple of jerrys of bio back from Vic in Oct, see if that fixes it!

Fixed mine
Mine only the top gasket was leaking.
So took it apart, soaked it in a mix of methylated apirits, break fluid and linseed oil, applied bosch rubber grease to it, fit it in, then covered it with a veey thin layer of copper gasket rtv.
No more leaks.
Repco guys had no idea what I was talking about and never phoned back with a part number/availability/quote.
While at it, I took apart the fuel filter/water separator, disabled ot, cleaned it, used bosch rubber grease on all seals, including the sensors.
I'll tale it tomorrow for a spin but seems ok now.
