I found Smittybilt was the same whenever I've fitted their gear as well.

Can i ask why you guys selected Chief? did you had a look at others? I'm considering Offroad Animal (can't put lower facia back on that one).
Also, do you drive with Chief from home to destination with lower facia on? if not, what is the wind noise factor?

I choose Chief because it bolts straight up, doesn't weigh that much and protects the bits that need it. I liked the previous model from ORA but that latest one looks a little odd to my eye. I didn't notice any noise today at 100 so I think it will be fine.

I did get it all bolted up after a bit of mucking around so all good. If I'd used Chief Tow Hooks I don't think I would have had any issues at all. Maybe I'll get some later.

I'm driving around with the lower fascia off at the moment and I'm not sure if I'll put it back on or not I kinda like the look without. Chief should make a little cover of some sort to fill the gap between the lower guard and the bumper. A bit of pinch weld along the bottom of the bumper would make it look finished too.

unfortunately chief is the only one that fits well. Personally i hate giving chief any money as their customer service is so shit and they never treat the customer with any respect, the issue is always the customer and never the product .

Offroad animals gear is finished well but looks like a 5 year old designed it. Their lower fascia is like looking at the back of a pajero sport . It just makes you want to vomit . Offroad animals nudge bar has issues with the parking sensors whereas chief's doesn't .

This is why i go with chief gear. Having said that the finish of chief gear is shit. I know two people in WA who have had issues with the sliders coating and had a huge battle with chief to get it done. My recovery points the shitty finish is peeling off and i will just take them off soon and go and get them professionally finished. My tow hooks the powder coating is flaking around the bolts and as soon as i torque'd the bolts to chief specs they started to flake.

As for wind noise there is none with the lower fascia removed. What you can do is remove the bottom bit of the fascia and reattach it .
