Error p700 and p703. Bad battery?
Hey guys.
Just finished installing a lift some new shoes borrowed from a JK and was taking it out for its first test and the check engine light came straight on and was in limp mode (CRD 2.7). I have done the 3 turn key method and getting p700 and p703. Transmission and brake peddle sensor?
Reading around it sounds like the battery is the first place to check? The car was sitting for a few weeks and started first time, but a little more reluctantly as the battery was noticeably a little low and the dash volt gauge was hovering in the red. I have since had a charger on it and did a voltage check and was 12.8v and then when running 14.8v. I've had the car for 2 years and the battery hasn't been changed in that time.
If I get a new one will limp mode automatically clear if it fixes it or do the codes have to be cleared at the shop?
Anything else I should check first?
The car has only done 130,000 so not too many ks on the transmission.
Thanks again!
