Brainfart moment, looks like my bumpstop extensions are 30mm, not 20mm, so that gains 10mm before the shock bottoms out when flexing with the sway bar disconnected.

Nobody showed interest in the shocks, so with the extra 10mm clearance, I will install them

The rears feel awesome so far and the length for 1.5-2 inch lift is at the limit of clearance for the A-Arm. No more usable flex with more shock extension available.

I had to go extended bump stops with my lift because my aftermarket rear diff cover was hitting my fuel tank when I drove over speed bumps.

I'm using the extensions on the front when running 32's as otherwise they would not clear anything on my height.

Was that issue on a WJ or TJ?

Shocks are installed

Without extensions, once the bumpstop contacts the pad on the axle, I have 15mm left of up-travel on the shock. Since the car doesn't see serious offroad without the bumpstop extensions, I figure I'll be safe.

Worst case, I blow them out driving down the road and then I will splurge on 2 5165's, which are 10mm shorter compressed for the same extended length.
