Since the wear I mentioned is out, what about the pins in the ECU? Or even the solder joint on the connector?
It's not unusual for the TCU and the flasher relay to act up because of the solder on the connector pins,
On my old Jeep someone removed the vent on the ECU and after driving though a heavy thunderstorm, the engine cut out. I had to have it towed and the next day it started ok and then cut out after 5km of driving.
Turns out some moisture got inside and caused havoc. Zero issues after sealing the plug.
