Default Power Steering oil

Guys,

Im getting told by the dealers to use ATF+4 but everywhere i read online says dont use it as it will damage the system.

Im trying to find this part number 68234631AA, I need to get 2 bottles as I will flush the system while Im installing HD steering kit.

Hi.
If you cant find the proper MS-10838 fluid then I would use CHF ( central hydraulic fluid ). The Motul branded stuff actually meets MS-10838 if you can find it in Oz. Can you get hold of Millers Oils products?

As for putting transfer case fluid in the power steering. That is a new one on me. I am not qualified to say bjm is wrong, just that I will not be using it.

My daughters WG required a replacement steering gear at around 175,000kms and I fitted a good used gear and filled the system with some ATF I had, now at 345,000kms no problems or leaks with ATF I reckon the use of mopar fluid maybe overstated by the manufacturer with a profit motive in mind.
