i got my notification that my car (2011) needs 'panic panic"
the fuel pump relay recall done, i guessing this is to mount an external relay??
now my car is 10 years old, ive had it just 2 years and other than the LH head ( which has been replaced under the extended warranty) its going great
im wondering if anyone could share a pic of where the external relay sits so i can check if my car was done in the original recall.
as its going ok and the nearest dealer is an hour away, and i would prefer them not to touch my car i could like to see if the relay mod has already been done
if it has i would be tempted to carry a spare relay, replace the existing , or at least be aware of where it sits
from this image of my car i believe the external relay mod has already been done, now this new one may simply be another batch job, but from my way of thinking if it aint broke don't fix it, that said how hard can it be to simply carry a spare.
