Okay, I would go for the gearbox myself but again if one is going do the lot and I would have a good look at the centre bearing on the shaft........ I wouldn't be doing any big runs until I had sorted it because it will be flogging something, engine/gearbox moving too much will flog out seals and god knows what else.
If the van was coping it as well I would certainly be checking the suspension on it, hitch bolts as well as tow bar mounts, it can send a vibration into the tug that makes you think an axle is going to throw. Leaping isnt a great thing for these modern wagons as too much too bend and the diesels are pushing the front axle loads to the limit as it is.
