Hey Drover and Olmate. Completely agree and all the advice from you guys plus the Pajero forum certainly made it a bit clearer. Also made a lot of sense once I had the specs on the exact pressures that were being created. Interestingly the upgraded model has a new filter with a baffle at the bottom of the filter to stop any oil from splashing up to top of can. (rather than the diaphragm.)
Makes a lot more sense.
You guys should consult to the engineering teams!

Still liking the Ryco design. Big can, adaptable and larger inlet and outlet ports to breathe easy. Let’s hope now I can take advantage of it!! Certainly need to - as does anyone with a diesel IMO- I just did my 2nd inlet and egr clean, as I had a new engine put in it and they used the existing inlet manifold (without cleaning it!!) Had only done 6000km since installing catch can on old engine, crikey it was caked up bad. Will share in another post but damn glad I did it!!
