I've got similar to you bitsa. I have the V8 power steering hose, which rubs hard on the stock intake hose. I'm guessing you have the V8 power steering hose.

Edit: The proper steering hose has a funky right angle bend out of the pump. The V8 has a short radius curve.

I have a V8 spare hose, but no. What I have fitted for the power steering is also a mix-match of bits that works well. Straight JIC nipple into the power steering pump with a surface crush washer to seal it. Then right angle elbow to a aftermarket flexible hose. Then the only stock bit which is the solid pipe running down, but from there it is all tee's, elbows, and a welded stock fitting on the base of the fan.

All in all it seems pretty solid, but the elbow does press onto the intake hose. No visible wear on it yet though. If I got rid of the JIC nipple and just ran an elbow directly into the pump it would clear nicely. Until it shows signs of wear, I'm not too concerned.

I dont have the V8 hose installed. I thought about it but just removed it a couple of days ago from my V8 since I am in the process to take all parts out and keep what I need. I went to a aircon/plumber expert here in Caboolture and they fitted a new ending. However it is a bit high and it rubs on the intercooler hose. I have moved one of those rubber rings which go over the hose and placed it right where he fitting rubs.

The hydraulics place here flared the end of the metal section on the line going from pump to fan and then built a short hose to fit between that and a banjo bolt on the pump. Plenty of clearance between the intercooler hose and the power steering hose with the banjo bolt.

I did not go that far. Well, just thought to replace the connector so that the cost could be under control. I did not expect that it would be that high and that it would hit the intercooler hose. If I could turn back time I might do the same rather than just replacing the connector.
