Default VM A630 KW & Torque curve

I found this...

Supposed to be the A630 which is what we have in our JGC with the 8spd box.

The 184kw and 570nm are allegedly Nett figures according to specs. Short of putting the thing on a Dyno how would you know? Wouldn't it be just grand if they are more grunty than we are led to believe...lol

I mean they do go very well for a 3L turbo diesel...below web address...

There are just so many variables with dyno figures that it's best to take them with more than a grain of salt. It looks like those figures are from the variant used in a Maserati (probably Ghibli) which would have a different tune to the GC anyway.

The VMs are pretty tuneable though - consistently see 650+nm. One bloke on Facebook reckons he dyno'd at 850nm the other week, with a tune as well as custom intercooler piping, airbox, and stainless snorkel. But again, grains of salt

The L630 power curves below seem more like what we are told the A630 is, though this graph reads peak torque as around 550nm and peak power of 185kw...
The L630 was always quoted as being 550nm and 179kw, with the A630 at 570nm and 184kw...

There are tunes available that will easily produce 650nm of torque and over 200kw...I guess it is what is at the wheels that matters.
They are the figures I'd like to see actually...I believe Todd Avers down at 7 Slot has a tune he can organise which allows the tune to be "tuned" on the fly to what output you want...

This is the tune I have:-
https://www.ecuwest.com.au/jeep-wk2-...-3-0crd-184kw/

Installed by Murchinsons in Brisbane at around 100K now at 237K

I think it is the tune they still use today but would need to confirm with Stu.

Yeah, I had spoken to Stu about that one...likely is the same still. For around a grand it is pretty good value, I very nearly had it done a while back but at the time had what I thought were fuel pump issues so held off.
Then there was the W58 recall...I relented and had that done at a Dealer which would have over written the program anyway.

I still might get it done...
