It's nuts imo how they keep closing forest access tracks...to achieve what exactly? Many 4wd clubs do have runs where they drive the Forestry tracks and quite often have to remove fallen trees with chainsaws and drag them out of the way to keep the tracks open.
I've seen many access track locked off and behind them long grass and even small trees growing...so how are the Firey's supposed to access these places quickly in an emergency when they are overgrown and impassable? Ridiculous.
As has been said many times...a decent storm will do far more damage to the area than even a bunch of hoons in 4wd's. Good example, the CREB, gets a bit ordinary after a season or 2 of 4wder's, but now completely torn up and impassable after the cyclone went through...
