Not the same as I have a five speed but the first time I had the gearbox rebuilt the initial start I did when picking up the car I noticed a vibration at idle. When underneath the car later on the gearbox rear cross member was not in the original position as the witness marks from the washers were some 20mm different also causing the skid plates to not fit properly (just leave out the bolts same with a gearbox housing bolt) and the dpf couldn’t be done up to the bracket properly off the engine. This of course would put strain on the actual engine mounts depending of course if they were tightened up first. Easy to imagine a squeak as the engine starts and vibration

I shake my head when I see that sort of stuff...had it happen many times. Plainly obvious where any retaining bolts were from new due to indentations or marks...yet the monkey's that refit stuff after removing them seem to never be able to put things back as they were!

I also have the starter 'squeak'. I'd describe it as a very brief high-pitched squeak while starter motor is operating. It's mildly annoying but I've gotten used to it. It's been there for the entire 2.5 years I've owned the car. A friend had the same sound in his, his mechanic said it was the starter motor. Sorry I can't be much more specific than that!

My thinking is, I'll fix it if the starter fails
