Manar is out in the middle of nowhere and isn't really worth the trip if you're looking for a challenge - unless it rains, which seems unlikely.
Are you talking about Emu Creek in northern NSW? I think its only a bike park now and its slightly further thab 2.5 hours. Try about 4 hours from Brissy. Theres also Arcot station if you want a good variety of off road challenge and also Rover Park in northern NSW as well. Arcot is 3.5 hours form Brissy, 70 klms out of Stanthorpe. Rover Park is lots of fun as well with lots of variety off road and 30 klm from Tenterfield. Black Duck is a one day park with too many bikes and shit in the rain. Also theres a new place called Jenowen Park just the other side of Cunninghams Gap. They are building new tracks all the time and whats there already is getting better.

Glendon is not a 4x4 park. Just camping in the bush.

The Adelaide Jeep Club recently visited the private property owned by Tony Whateley in Barmera, S.A. Known as Aussie BBQ Tours.

We will definately be back and recommend it to any 4 wheelers.

This location is newly available to clubs and private small groups.
The owner's enthusiasm is genuine and infectious, and he has told us of his plans to buy a "big front end loader" to build a "super 4x4 track"

Driving is more fun in the wet. Camping, swimming, fishing and relaxing would be more fun in the dry. As it is one of the biggest privately owned stretches of land on the Murray in S.A.
Lots of different terrains.
Mostly c grade tracks with a couple of virtually impossible short hill climbs

His site is here:

Tonto and I did a reccy and report in the dry here:
