yes true it would help but i am the only one home.. and i live in a street of all oldies. my neibours hav gone on a holiday and my mates are currently tied up on other things.

funny thing is there is only a couple of us on this forum. yet i see over 10 xj's and about 10-15 wranglers every single day! and they arent the same ones every time.. all different. im thinking about getting a big AusJeepOffroad Sticker for my window to advertise but havnt got the $$ atm. Jeep across the road from me (Adelaide City Chrysler) and stupid and dumbass's. they dont know stuff all!. i walked in there and i knew more than their mechanic did about things ive learnt off this forum! and the $$ of parts!

ill stop complaining now.

Check the panhard rod at the axle end too.
Also jack up the wheel and grab it top and bottom and push with one hand while pulling with the other back and forth vertically to see if there is any play. If you have any at all it is bad and your hubs need replacing.

hey Go J33P haha

my hubs are fine, i jacked both sides up and tested it. the passenger side moved about 1mm and the drivers didnt at all. i have yet to check the steering box bolts and then seek more advice. all the tie rod bolts are fine.. all done up tight and dont move at all only swivel no side to side or up/down play. is there a way of greasing the UNI at all? im starting to think its that but it makes the noice when stationary so i dont get it.

ill keep looking. when i take it to my mates workshop when i lift it ill get him (hes a diesel mech) to have a look at it. he might have a bit more of an idea than me.
