Default xj diff upgrade most cost effective solution

Hey guys, i wanna run 33s and i just wanted to know:

1. What is a good ratio to run with this size tyre, i go offroad every weekend just about, and about 70 percent of the terrain is steep rock.

2. Can the standard lsd be "tightnened" so that it is better offroad?

3. What kinda price is involved with changing the ratios just for the parts, and where do i look for them? I live in brisbane/gold coast.

4. Can i do it myself? I have heard the danna diffs are tricky to work with.

5. I have heard once a certain ratio is reached, the carrier must be changed. what is approx price of a carrier, new or second hand?

6. Is it worth changing the carrier to get a lower ratio to run 33's?

I realise there are alot of questions here, but i think these kind of questions are probably on alot of xj drivers minds, and it seems there are alot of variables in price and performance, any help would be appreciated.

cheers.

Don't know about the rest but for No.2 tightening the LSD, i did some research into it a while back because i was hoping to do the same thing...
for the standard lsd (clutch pack type)

I rang diff lapping in brisbane and they told me yes i can be tightened by adding a disc to the pack, or re doing the whole clutch pack to get it back to original condition...

The problem is that they will eventually wear out again and if you actually want to make it better than standard well... the 'tighter' you make it the quicker the discs will wear out and you'll be back to where you are now.

Basically i was convinced that i was better off buying a locker or a Gear driven LSD (which are better and don't wear out)
