From my understanding tanks are a waste of money....a 5ltr tank @ 150psi you may fill one 33 inch tyre from 16psi to 26psi, then the compressor kicks in and you filling straight from the compressor again.....unless you wait till the tanks fills up again and you do it all over again which will not be any quicker then filling the tyre.

i really see only two usable options.....kilby on board / endless air or an air up system.
ive been looking at the air up system myself.

the biggest advantage I can see is for using air tools or reseating beads on tyres

Agree. I had enough to get 1 6 lug nut wheel off and back on with my tank capacity but that was using a fairly efficient rattle gun.

I also used a blow off gun quite a bit when I was trying to get mud or dust out of breakages that I was trying to fix between stages.

True - but a pressured air tank will speed up reinflation of the tyres - remember the tank is being filled even whilst you change between tyres.
IMHO a tank can be a pain to mount but it's well worth it - even if you hvae just a small 12volt compressor (infact make the ESPECIALLY if you have a small 12v )

Sooopa Cheap, have a poxy little comp mated to a tank and all the bits pressure switch, safety valve and guage, comes with a hose, tyre connector and battery clips.
This setup with a better comp attached will work for a basic OBA set up, or could be hooked into a York comp.
