WH Clatter sound

For those of us with a WH I get this clatter sound out from the front wheels when I am in low range going up or down hills when I turn the steering wheel slightly or turn.Chrysler says that this is normal,does anyone else get the same sound. They have said that it is the ABS but it didn't do when I first took it off road? it sounds like CV joints but they can't fault it.

I have the same sound in my XH and I believe it is from the front ELSD locking and unlocking.
It doesn't sound like the ABS brakes

So this does it all the time you are in low range? and does it jerk the steering wheel as mine does.

That is the traction packs engage/disengaging. I have not fully heard it but those watching me said it made noises as I climbed the hill. Has also only happened to me in low range.

Robbo I thought turning of the traction control or elsd or something stopped it - not sure what exactky but I recall we managed to turn something off that stopped the noise either in the WH JJ took to the snow or on Andre's at Avoca one time.
