Default front bar bad news

Had a chat to ##### @ arb head office who has said that they jk front bar they had done has been binned as it did not meet adrs. would not tell me why, just said it will be a while now as it puts them a long way behind and they have to redesign they wing end returns and other parts to suit. they have also built a comp style bar for the U.S. market that fits the new warn winch with air up. this has also since been but in the bin as i dont think it was feesable. it did look very tuff. i wish i knew wich bin it was in.

cheers

I wonder if that's because the JK has changed how the AirBag deployment works?

Just got mail from ARB here is the copy
Thanks for your enquiry. I have had confirmation that the bullbar for the JK Wrangler should be available in about 2 months time.
Unfortunately we haven't had any confirmed pricing for the bullbar but I don't think it will be too much different from the TJ bullbars.

The Jeeps are listed under Chrysler on our website.

If you have any further enquiries please don't hesitate to contact Gold Coast 4x4 at Burleigh Heads on 5535 9223.

Greg Webber

and heres a similar answer from TJM

We have what is called a T17 Bar in steel only being manufactured at the
moment. With no release date unfortunately. There will also be a "wrap
around" alloy rear bar to follow. Roughly 6-8 weeks.

Cheers

That letter from arb is a pretty much standard marketing responce. it will be more like four months till something is released and produced. they dont want you to buy any thing else thats why they say it. you might be right ( hope) but my info is from high up @ head office?
