Default Water fording depth of Commander. Trail rated??

Can anyone find any "official" fording depth of the Commander? I've tried Jeep and the web. It's supposed to be "trail rated" but I can't really find any official Jeep description of what that means, either?

I think that means it's 4x4 ( You can get JEEPS as 4x2 in America ) so all the new 4x4s they been putting TRAIL RATED on them... From what I heard anyway

Trail- rated supposedly means that the car with minor mods (tyres, protection) can drive the Rubicon trail- this is the criterion for a 4x4 Jeep. Compass isn't trail rated no 2wheel Jeep is, and Patriot in the U.S with Freedom Drive II (which we don't get here) supposedly is as well.

Got any pics of the commander doing the Rubicon trail?

As for the fording depth of the commander, if you get out, and your shoes get wet, it is to high

thanks. Looks like 20 inches (510 mm) is the official value. Lots of interest in "trail rating". See http://www.natc-ht.com/V_TRCS.htm and go to the Jeep part. Have a look at the video clips.

well i did drive about 15 kms into yampire gorge and the water was about two and a half feet before i turned back seeing as i didnt have a snorkel.
the water was getting deeper and i just didnt want to go any further as it also had some very large rocks under the water as well, I have the dents to prove it. I had a picture of my crd commander in the water but lost my hard drive a while back and dont think the picture survived.
