Think it popped in around the $900 mark, then shipping isnt cheap. That particular system is now on a Black XJ in Sydney, only XJ in Oz with a Claytons kit.

I've seen many long arm kits on XJ's in Alaska from various sources, including home made. All improve off road ability, how could they not? The only issues to arise, as a rule, are the effects on the "frame" of the vehicle. Adequately reinforced, there should be no issues. The photos of the Clayton unit show large adapters for the frame mount end of the arms which wrap around the unibody subframe structure, and then bolt or weld (or both) to the subframe of the vehicle. The longer the support bracket, the farther out the force is spread and the longer the frame will last if used off road. There is a lot of twist force and shock transmitted to the frame with one of these setups, and the atttach point location on the frame was not intended for this purpose. So, if the brackets supplied by Claytons (or whomever) are sufficient, the results should be sterling compared to original or compared to a short-arm conversion.
