Default TJ Overhead Accessory Bar

I made a bracket (Batman would call it a TJ utility bar) that goes along the roof line of the jeep. I was sick of everthing flying around the cabin everytime I go over a bump.

So far I have fixed my maglight and fire extinguisher to it. Next to go on will be my GPS, UHF, and then maybe some extra downlights.

Made it from a 50 x 50 aluminium angle that I found in the "scrap" pile at work.

Bolts up to two holes that are already in the TJ overhead bars. Just need to trim the standard padding down and put it back on.

Cheers,

Mick

Atleast there on the passenger side.
I would change the fire clip for a steel one. The plastic ones are sh*t and break if you hit a bump or rutt at speed.

I though about that. But before hand they were lying on the floor. Any crash would send them off like a rocket.

Got a better place them? I could only thing of behind the seat but could be hard to get to in a hurry (like when the jeep is on fire).

Will replace the plastic bracket on the extinguisher with a QUIK-FIST. This is the name of the rubber clamp that holds the mag light.

I find this to be a funny name, but I do also have a 6 year old's sense of humour.
