Question 4 door springs on a 2 door-how much lift would this create?

I have been offered a set of standard 4 door coils if I want them.I have read about fitting 4 door Rubicon springs to 2 door JK's, which results in a minimal lift of about 1 inch.So I know they can be fitted but how much of a lift would I get from these ones as they are off a diesel hardtop

From memory I think there is about 1500 kg's weight difference between the 2 vehicles, so I would be expecting more than 1 inch of lift, maybe

What do you think

You open yourself up to all sorts of problems if you have a bingle...

Springs are very specifically designed with set damping rates etc. That the reason why there are different springs to suit different models. So id recommend that you either leave it as it is or go and purchase a set of 2 door springs.

The wheelbase difference between the two models could find you getting into trouble (particularly with 4 door springs in a 2 door car).

Cheers!

Thanks for that.I think I will stick with my original plans then and upgrade the coils at a later date.

Casey, I must have been thinking of the towing capacities of the 2 door and the 4 door. Thanks for pointing that out to me
