if you REALLY REALLY want a CRD Rubicon - just go to Austria, buy one and import it.

You'd have to then covert it to right hand drive.

Have the CRD 6 speed and very happy with it - yes the on road handling is a bit rough -(especially on the crappy roads in my area) but fine on the highway. plenty of room - have 3 kids. Have towed to western QLd with 3 motor bikes, a quad, lots of camping gear and beer on the converted boat trailer- if you sit on 100kph used only 12L but once your sitting on 120 + went up to 17l per 100. (only had 1000k's on it and clocked up another 3000 in the first week.) have towed horse float with 1 horse - sitting on 90kph only 11L per 100.( had to drop to 4th for the big hills but partly due to low cruise speed.) also tow box trailer with all the camping gear into the snowys - does a great job - ride is better with the weight on the back. Use it not only as a daily driver - am in real estate and do 500 k's a week easy. am wanting to upgrade the suspension (probably AEV) hopefully a better ride around town plus that lift to fit the 35's underneath. I say go for it.
