Driving along, all lights on the instrument panel come on lots of dinging. Engine cuts out, loose brakes, power steering etc..then restart and check engine light stays on. Happened heaps in last 3 days. Jeep has had it for a day and even took it home last night and claim they couldn't fault it. Pick it up from Jeep and on my way home tonight, 90kph bend in the dark on wet roads it cuts out. Very bloody dangerous.

Cheers
Rob

Doesn't sound like the same problem our engine never cut out the light would come on when you started the engine and most of the time it wouldn't do anything wrong altho three times it lost boost pressure what dealer are you taking it to

if your engine check light is coming on there must be an error code stored in the ecu. the dealer will pick it up with the scan tool. if they don't take it to a private injector specialist. they have gear better than the dealers and will pick it up n a flash. dealers shop the diesels out to private diesel specialists when they get problems, so just go there yourself and get it fixed. probably an hours labour plus parts if needed. if it is a sensor which is out of whack they can be corrected without replacement quite often.

The car is going to Rankin diesel today to check the chip. The error code comes up as the Turbo Pressure sensor, which they tested and is perfect apparently.

The above problem shouldn't cause major engine failure either as there has to be a default setting the computer goes to to prevent total loss of engine power. This is an ADR law.

I will keep you posted, but for the time being the jeep has lost my trust

Rob
