And wouldn't it be easier if the righthand side mounted fuel tank had the filler on the righthand side also for the inlet pipe to be at a better angle instead of coming across from the opposite side.

of course it would mate. i started pricing that mod myself. have the fuel tank removed, cleaned and a 50mm spout put on the tank top. cut a hole in the rhs of the vehicle directly above the tank spout and connect a 50mm hose dropping vertically from the new filler point to the tank spout. the obvious mod. but while i was costing it the longranger tank came out, and the little extra it cost over the mod made me think i may as well put in a long range tank and have the best result.

Hi guys, I'm getting the runaround by the dealer, does anybody know or have proof that this tsb also applies to out of warranty cars? Anyone have an email etc saying that in writing? Or alternatively, anyone have the phone number for Chrysler Australia?

hi td. have no idea about the tsb being for out of warranty vehicles. it often doesn't work anyway apparently. there is a 1300 number which i have lost but chrysler australia head office number is (03) 9566 9266, mulgrave vic. you may get an answer saying it is mercedes australia as they handled chrysler products in au, last i knew. they weren't very helpful either.

A bit of an old thread but still relevant. My 2007 build jk occasionally has slow fill issues. Can anyone confirm if the TSB will be done outside warranty period for free? Is it actually worthwhile or am I better to do the stevil fix myself for the sake of $20 or so? Considering if I can manage to get the dealer to do it they will need the car for the day.

Default Old Tread but just out of interest ..

Regarding the hard to fill Or Must Fuel at very slow rate issues on 2007 -2009 Jk 's Service Bulletin 14-002-09
The condition being caused by the vent system not being able to provide enough tank ventilation.
Those who still have one, what's its like for filling up now ?
I remember after getting the replacement fill system done it was a great improvement but it didn't last and filling up over the last few years requires a slow fill as before.
Just wondering if just replacing the filter vent (p/n 68012168AA) (which I believe may contain a charcoal filter that may be be clogged ?) would solve this ?
