******** jeep after sevice leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe its best that they go under and we dont have to buy their crap products anymore

Thats for the Yank Jeeps

The exports are made in Graz Austria, the CRD's in the Aus models are straight from mercedes i belive.......

Well that makes it perfectly clear, if your Jeep is under warranty and shits itself, hope it catches fire to claim insurance or buy a second hand one which should have the bugs ironed out.
At least it's not a Jeep Thing as all the makers will skid from under if at all possible, makes you wonder anyway.

Yes I know....but the question was asked about where and who makes the CRD engines......so I just cut and pasted the info about WH from the US website...

I just can't believe that they would quote you substantially more than the price of a new one, to fix the old one. This is just incredible. Sorry to hear that. Keep us informed about what is going on. I'd better get out and get myself some extended warranty.

OMFG - I just fainted!

Surey they can reuse several parts from the old motor and the engine bay. Your intercooler should be ok as well as your powertrain module and sensors - unless they failed and caused the issue??
