You obviously have more spare time than me . I don't have 20+ minutes to spare every time I need to fill up .Although they have done the fix now so I don't have to worry about getting abused at servo's any more . My problem has always been with Chrysler jeep not the JK [ or the Commander I had before it ] .

Realistically some of the issues pertain to certain members who enjoy taking on stiring up threads with no reason other than to stir trouble.

Do you own a JK? Well if you do you have all and every right to post in the JK section. Dont own a JK? Why are you going there stiring up people?

The forum goes through phases of trouble from now and then, what we are going to do is take a stronger stance on people starting trouble! So be warned!

One other thing to note also, as mentioned earlier is that AJOR is moderated a lot more than many other forums in Australia. There is of course a fine line between over moderating where people dont feel they can have their say publically.

And one last thing........Am I the only one thats sick of hearing the word ************?

Jimmyb has hit the nail right on the head.

whingers will only whing to those who will listen, if they don't get the attention they will give up.

So stop stirring them up and you will be surprised how quickly they find else where to cry about what they believe is the end of the world.

Direct your attention the the posts where people actually have a question that requires YOUR expertise.

I was going to leave this thread alone, as I can't really see the point.

The whole JK V's TJ thing is BS.

I have not seen one time where a legitimate question regarding a problem with the JK not being answered, or advice offered by owners of all Jeep models.

It's when the same question is raised over and over again, some JK owners do not want to hear constructive answers. They want to blame the dealer, the manufacturer for an issue that most (even other JK owners) see as trivial.

On dozens of occassions I have offered valid, sound advice or information. And somehow the advice was taken as "shit stirring by a TJ owner"..

I'm also sick of reading "If you don't own a JK, what are you doing in the JK section"... What that has to do with anything, I don't know.
So, by that logic. Cj owners can't read TJ threads. XJ owners can't read WJ threads....

Just because you don't own a particular model, doesn't mean you can't have an opinion or experienced advise to offer.

THIS IS THE REASON THERE IS TROUBLE IN THE JK SECTION

Jk owners have the same rights as any other member of AUSJEEP and have to play by the same rules.

I have never seen a TJ owner complain about a JK owner in the TJ section. Yet I regularily read compliants about a TJ owner in the JK section.

The division has to stop, we are all Jeep owners. Some of us multiple Jeep owners with different models.

Instead of jumping on the "trouble makers", how about assigning a moderator for the JK section who actually reads the entire thread and takes action against anyone who starts the personal insults.. I'd put money on a lot of JK owners with the first infractions..

And, we are Australians! we take the piss and shit stir. If it's all too much, don't play...............

Lurking in this forum has been an exercise in frustration over the last couple of months - JK-Forum.com has been a much more constructive place to visit
This phenomenon of what happens when a manufacturer seeks to appeal to a much wider market segment is by no means unique to Jeep. I went through the same thing with the introduction of the Evo motor in HD in '84, the old die hards said they weren't REAL Harleys, but most of them eventually came around. Remember the 240Z? A real enthusiasts sports car, gradually it got bigger and softer and lost the way. Same happened to some extent to MX-5 - the '89 NA had no air con or power steering, built by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Later iterations gradually lost that raw feel, due to two reasons. The general motoring public demand more gadgets in their cars, and some changes are mandated by safety legislation.

So, it's a simple matter of survival. Any manufacturer that caters only for the hard core enthusiast is bound for failure. As for forum conduct, a bit more moderator intervention here would be a good thing IMHO. If the JK section continues as it has been, I'm sure I won't be the only one unsubscribing...

BTW, I love the JK - I came to my first Jeep with fairly realistic expectations, and have no complaints whatever.

the answer is simple, if you are unhappy with your JK, sell it and move on. If you bought it thinking it was a sports car and are now disappointed, learn to do some research before you go forking out your hard earned.
As for the other JEEP drivers taking the piss out of the JK, get used to it, its not going away. If you are going to stir us JK owners up, you need to come with some new material, the old "latte", "gay", "************" theme has been flogged to death.
I for one am bloody happy with my JK, and it always blows me away at its ability to get over gutters and nature strips, without spilling my Latte or upsetting my ************!!!

The light hearted stirring is great, I like TJ responses, I like the VIC<->QLD banter, please don't make this forum a bastion of political correctness.

I agree to a point that only write something on this forum that you would say face to face but also if you went wheelin and someone p&%sed and moaned about everything all day would you want to wheel with that person again. Though there are plenty of AJOR keyboard moaners, I have never come across a AJOR real life moaner and if there was I would be telling them to sprinkle cement on their cornflakes too.

Also even after we get the point on some threads people chuck on a "whiny post", maybe to boost thier post tally or to please their "fans", don't know what it is but tone down the whining please, otherwise we will hunt you down
