I ran my old 'Cruiser on LPG in the early 90's for about 150,000Km and not a problem, before I fitted a Moreys Lubrication system it had a loss of power and was a bit noisier but after it was fitted same power as petrol and ran smooth as...never gave any problem that was related to gas.

The main problem associated with gas is valve recesssion, where the valve wears its way deeper into the head untill it can no longer close fully. This is because LPG has no lube properties.Adding some sort of upper cylinder lube will fix this .
Most cars designed for unleaded have hardened valve seats already ( because unleaded has little lube quality) & are therefore OK on gas w/out upper cyl. lube. But adding upper cyl. lube cant hurt & is good insurance.
BTW as krystal says , many taxis were getting incredible life out of there motors long before factory dedicated lpg cars were available.

I agree. Using flashlube will sort out any lack of lube issues.
Mine has been on gas for a while now amd its the best thing i have done for a long time. Saving SOO much money!

I am also getting my Jeep converted to LPG with the brand new Liquid Injection tech that has come out.

Lets see how it goes since that particular technology is said to increase power significantly around 30-40 kw on a Commodore and provide better consumption too.

Booking finalised for November first week and can hardly wait for my XJ to be back with a sting in its tail...or not.
