Just got some red hose for my compressor tank. The blue gear was too soft to withstand the heat and kept splitting at the end of the comp with an almighty bang. Hopefully this gear will last.

Regards A

Yerr not 100% sure but the bloke at Car Parts Plus said it will handle the heat a lot better. I assume there must be a different grading which is based on colour because when I asked for something diferent he asked if I wanted the red gear?

Regards A

this is true, I didn't replace the shackle bushes but I did swap shackles, so that could've been it too...

Not the one I'm buying no, mines for sale on there though if thats what you mean. I bought an '01 model privately, low km's and like 99% like new! I knew the owner through a mate and had my eyes on it several years ago.

Replaced the rear bearings and bearing seals. The passenger side rear axle has a bit of pitting, so after a polish up as much as we could do, it went back in until i can find another axle that is in good nick. Hope full soon before i bugger up the new bearing.

It is quieter though. Now it doesn't roar and whine when not under load, and i can now hear how loud the diff is when under load!
