Default OUT 4X4 roof liners

Fitted the OUT 4X4 roof liners today, a little interesting with the Rhino roof racks which protrude the mounting bolts where the panels go.

So I replaced the plastic nut assembly with some panel washers of roughly the same size to give similar clamping force and surface area and cut away some of the excess bolt length. I removed the roof rack rails completely to assist with marking the panels through the holes in the roof.

Then marked on the panels where the bolts hit, next was to carefully cut away some of the plastic panel which makes up the roof liners so that the nut could fit in the recess and the panel sit flat like it is intended. I then loosened off the sound bar so that access for fitting the panels was easier.

The rest of the process was in accordance with the fitting instructions, apply the sillastic to the panels and prepare the double sided tap then carefully place the panels in place, I misaligned the rear panels slightly but this wont have any real impact and is only obvious when looking straight up. Due to the tape you really have to be careful when placing the panels as it sticks quite well.

Overall very happy with the product although yet to go for a drive and sit it in the sun the see how much different for noise and heat. The guys at OUT 4x4 were very helpful as well.
