Its the Ducks for working out what will fit............. especially as not all Grands are the same and once you change suspension never the same as others...

275/65 r18's lightly touch under certain conditions in most GC's lifted or not. A lift in a GC really is to give you more clearance it doesn't really give you room for a bigger tyre. Yes there is the odd person running a 33 or bigger tyre but often a american with a very wide stance or someone with QL and spacers or a 3+inch lift.

My tyre abacus shows
Difference from standard 18" as;

.................285 65 18..........265 60 18........ Difference
Diameter 828 775 53mm

Width 285 265 20mm

Sidewall 185 160 25mm

Circum. 2598 2433 165mm

of course not all tyres are the same but thats a good idea.

Instead of the my mates brother sort of advice grab a measure stick and fill in the boxes on this calculator then you will now if it will fit, you must allow for a good 40mm or more clearance for suspension compression........... other than bling looks and more expense there is little advantage in going bigger tyres for day to day driving or normal off roading, just more stress to systems.

I run 285/60/18s G2 Grapplers, got 70k from them and they are super quiet if you keep them rotated.
I have a 2015 Overland with adjustable suspension, they only rub slightly on the inside in full lock in Park mode only. Not a big issue as I don't normally move while in park mode, the wife on the other hand well that's another story

Apologies for digging up an old thread but I felt it best to keep the discussion here.

My ko2s are finally ready to be replaced, after around 90,000km. I’ve been so happy with them that I’m about to go and order 4 more but I thought I’d check in here, seeing as years have passed since my last purchase - is there a compelling reason to switch to another tyre?
