Andy is correct, once you have the rear bar on (and suitably braced), the hinge can be welded on.

If your going to copy one, this one is very nice:

just put the hinge on the left for the KJ.

My personal favorite is a tube bar like this one on the XJ, and I have seen one on a KJ (the one in Qld with the SFA).

To drool your way through a complete collection of rear bar work, just go here and page down and browse the ones on offer (pages of them):

Yes already drooling thinking of the possibilities. Just need the rear bar to start the game. Scaring the wife too, she's checking the account to see if I haven't spent already.

Looks great it's that bugger of a tow bar problem..... so for us in Aus we have to settle for one without the intergrated tow hitch....

I have had some correspondence with "Blue Lake Off Road". Their bar work seems to be OK or at least comparable with Rock Lizard and Boiler. See link below

Cost wise it seems around $1100 USD (incl options)+ freight which they have estimated approx $450 to Brisbane.

If an order more than one then they will discount........buy 2=5%, 3-5=7%, 5-10=10%.
As far as the hitch goes they have advised that my Hayman Reece would have to be removed but one can be added to the new rear bar as an option. Does this not meet the Australian Standards??

As long as the bar and towbar are seperate and the lights are clearly visible at 40 degree angle or relocated or additional lights added then no problems... from memory anyways.....
