The only things I can add to the press releases is the confirmation that Australia will get the next-generation VM 2.8 CRD motor from the start. I have already asked Jeep Aus if we're getting Rubicon.
Rumours from US suggest LWB TK will have Rubicon spec and Hemi options.
If the 4 door LWB comes in Rubicon spec with diesel then I'll be leasing one a soon as my current lease runs out (2.5 yrs yet though). Its a shame the 2 door still uses D30 and D35 axles!! The D44 front and rear would be much nicer

The Dana 44 is actually upgraded so much that the engineers really wanted a new name for them. One Jeep rep. even suggested that it should be a "Dana 45," but of course, at this time it is not. The gears are larger, the pinion is larger and the shafts are now 32 spline instead of 30 spline. Rubicons still get a similar locker, though it is a bit larger than the TJ's

Hmmm the Dana 44 is sounding better and better...

Cheers

Going to have to run skinny shocks!
Can't beleive how low the bottom shock mounts are.

Here's me thinking that Jeep couldnt possibly go backwards when it came to TJ engines and TJs generally. With the 3.7L V6 (and to a slightly lesser extent the 2.8L oil burner) I reckon they have managed admirably.

DC could have better spent the money fixing things which needed fixing IMO - the list is endless.
