It's finally running and driving yay!
The 2nd hand computer bundle I purchased made it start and drive straight away. The check engine light extinguished and everything on the dash worked perfectly. I was able to rev the engine so I took it for a lap around the block. It's so good to be able to drive and now to go get a RWC and rego.

Was reason for your problem ECU and you first repair your own in england and it didnt work. Then you bought used ECU and it works or??
"The 2nd hand computer bundle" what that means?
" I took it for a lap around the block" this also
"get a RWC and rego. " and this
Do you have any idea what was reason for failure?

Welcome to Australian slang:

"The 2nd hand computer bundle" = used ECU

" I took it for a lap around the block" = went for a short drive around the local suburb

"get a RWC and rego. " = Road Worthy Certificate and registration for the vehicle. In Australia you need to get the vehicle inspected to register it to drive on the public roads. If it passes the inspection, they give you a certificate (RWC). You then take this to the government office and pay rego fees.

You certainly wouldn't be the first person to struggle with Australian English. It's a bit different from American or British English.

Unfortunately I still have no idea what caused the failure which is not ideal.
The ECU bundle consisted of the ECU, the Skim module, ignition barrel, 2 x keys, drivers door lock and lockable fuel cap. Having all these things allowed me to just plug and play without the need for any programming. It also means that I only need one key to start the car, open the fuel cap and lock/unlock the car.

Do you mind, please, posting a link to where you got the ECU bundle for future reference? I hope that I never need it, but just in case.
