first coat done. I have never fibreglassed before and i can safely say I hate it!

inside view.

So that all drying now. Not a bad start for a day. Im about 15 percent done! Still needs another coat or so and then I need to mount my mdf speaker ring and do the glassing to mould that all in. I am also going to fab up a bracket to mount the amp to the underside of the passenger seat. I dont want it on the floor for water damage reasons.

A few coats of fibreglass inside and out. I am getting better at using this stuff.

Just have to let it cure then I am going to bog up the outside a bit and sand it down (something else I have no experience doing so will be interesting)
Then prime and paint and its good to go! Then onto the Amp mount

Slapped on a bit of builders bog

Primed and painted with a spraycan! absolutely stoked how it came out considerin I have never done this sort of thing before.

Just need to screw the sub on, and its done.
Then on to the Amp and probably sound deadening the floor while I have the console out

Fits in there nicely! I still have full movement of my seats and the rear seat can still fold flat against the front seats. Perfect! Tested it out and it hits harder than the 2 combined when they were in the rear. Stoked!

Now time for Mission: Quiet Jeep Cabin!
Just took a sound reading on the road at 80kph with a free Iphone app and I averaged 80db at that speed. So we will see if I can make any difference after all my sound deadening efforts!

Started the sound deadening mission today!
Stripped out the whole interior

Gave it a scrubdown

Gave it all a few coats of sound
deadener.

It is only supposed to be for underbody but I used it on the inside and the underbody. It smells pretty strong but I am going to leave it a week to dry and then the inside is all getting a layer of Dynamat. (Or as much as the bulk pack of dynamat lets me)

Then I plan on putting some foam inserts in a few places like door cavities and shifter boot.

Tomorrow I am going hunting for some good sound insulating fabric to use for my headliner
