The hoses are quite small but with sharpish bends, need to avoid kinking by over-stressing a straight piece of hose. Thanks southerncomfort. So are they selling them as a kit? Might have to contact them and have a chat.

I forgot the turbo hose at back of engine, this morning I decided to have a good lookie at the other 3 hoses, armed with bore cam and extra led lighting, lots of swearing I manage to get a reasonable view of them all, mine look like new, certainly no sign of snail trails, I also was quite surprised that I managed a reasonable view of the hidden one in the valley, thankfully the valley is clean, no coolant trail and the hose seems newish, I just wished the thing had recorded like it was supposed to do........ I will get in the appropriate hoses tough and have them ready but at least I'm sure I don't have to rush and know I can check them out even though its not easy and does require an extra light which I have to get a new one as I broke the little led on a wire I had....... it might give me time to save up as it was bad enough just using the cam.......

I wonder if leaving the engine cover hanging in the shed has a side benefit ??? Mine has been off since I got it.

Be good to know what condition yours were in as well, mines at 83K.

He has the intake turbo hose (silicone) fitted to the pipe, so I think he is selling the whole piece. Best to call Tam and have a chat.

At 83k yours probably won't be in bad nick, although the 'valley' turbo hoses seem to be going at all different mileages. As it's all about trapped heat I reckon leaving the cover off can only help. I'll feedback more in a couple of days when I have more intel on the condition of my old hoses, I've only done 104k though so not expecting them to be in chronic condition.
Mechanic did say they don't necessarily split or burst in the middle where you'd expect, often they fail at the ends, the hose is only single layer (the silicones are double layer). Any small amounts of brownish crusting at the ends is a sign to take notice of.
