Now don't take this as a criticism, I would have inserted the drawbar into the chassis rails even though this would have meant less ground clearance it would still be the same as the Xj towing it assuming the suspension was the same height, again not a criticism...
I have thought of this type of trailer numerous times and would have painted it red of course....

I went with putting the draw bar above the frame as my tow bar is very high
This way its all roughly in line
Ground clearance was also a big issue
I want to drag this some of the dumb places I drive
I dont think its not gonna be weaker how ive done it
I can paint it red if you like? Haha
