A lot of talk about rim size, I was under the impression that vehicles fitted from factory with 17 inch rims had bigger brake callipers so 16's don't fit.
Can any one who has 16's on a vehicle that had 17's from factory confirm they fit. To me if you went from the 17 alloy to a steel 16 it would be close.
I'd be interested to know if the 16" rims would fit - I've been told the same thing with the size of the brakes on the >2007 JK's

Have a look at the gap between the outside of the caliper & the rim. You need to have more than 13mm clearance if you want to go down to 16" wheels as you will lose 1/2" from the radius of the rim.
