It's also about removing dickheads from the roads in skylifted slinky sprung illegally modded 4x4's who make the rest of us look bad.

If you want to escape attention you need to lift a 4x4 proportionally so it doesn't look overdone, I've heard of guys getting away with 35 inch tyres easily but being pulled over when they fitted their 285's because the smaller tyres make the vehicle look like it's lifted higher with too much space under the guards. It's aboput first impressions usually unless it's a "pull everyone in" roadside blitz.

Forgive me for sticking my neck out hear but i was & have always been under the impression that if u have bought all upgraded parts that bolt on to ur truck & its all been engineered & u have ur piece of paper with all engineered parts hights tyre size & so & so on they cant touch u , u built it right & had it passed & engineered , shorly tey cant say its illegal because they say so
