Just came back from a run to the Watagan Mts near central Coast. A bit ordinary track (had not much else on). averaged 13. - highway and the gravel. It should be slightlyt better I think..

Agree that 80kmh is the best speed for fuel economy, but as you've said Roachy, "who wants to drive at 80 in the country?", not me. I'll do the trip to Sydney at 100kmh, but it will probably be the first and last time.
Yeah, I'd like to fit the chip upgrade too.

One thing to keep in mind is that the K&N doesn't filter dust as well. I change mine without fail at every 6,000k's or if I have been out with my mates and it has been a dusty drive I change it straight after I get back. I also 'grease' the rubber edge of the filter to improve the seal. I have 2 filters so I clean 1 later when I have time but I normally carry the spare in the car (I pre oil and keep it in the box in a zip lock bag) just in case I need to change while I'm out (eg. if I cop some water into it etc).

Just had a look at my K&N - its part # is 33-2048 but I have had it for a few years so the number might have changed. I don't think that I paid any more than $120 - I can't believe that differance in prices what scam.
