This is exactly what we did to Jishwa's ZJ Grand.
He's running 33s with 1 inch lift - swaybars still connected - with 3.75 inch backspacing 16 inch steelys.
It isn't really a wheeling pig - although it has done Cruiser Canyon etc - we just wanted a nice "full" guard looking Grand.
It turned out really well and I'd recommend it to anyone going a low big tired Grand.
You basically trim out the lower section of the Guard opening to the angled edge and it looks quite neat.
Back is more of an issue as you need to shape it right to work with the rear door. You can't just cut in crazy like the front because the front of the rear opening is the issue.
We were going to make 1" longer control arms to fix this but it hasn't really been an issue for the wheeling that Jishwa does in his Jeep.
We mostly just rock out sand dunes and firetrails in it...
