Fitted brown dog engine mounts and a new transmission mount... Ended up being a bit of a mission as the engine had dropped a fair bit. The transfer case was actually cutting into the cross member.
No more knocking on starting up the engine, no more whining at 60k's an hour

Not happy with local garage, they serviced this car for years. They kept blaiming tyres and car age for various noises....

Yerr I would have expected them to idenify any problems, isn't that part of a service anyway?

first test drive of the xj with a manual gearbox, 242 transfercase and a 4.0L. Now for the supercharger(I wish).

Today I fitted an IRO SYE to a friends Xj....

Came out pretty good except for the PITA aux fuel tank....




Not enough room for a decent tap wrench!!!!

Front lower arm bush kit and put the new O ring set in to fix my oil leak and think I'll do the D bushes tomorrow there looking a bit worn

Started on the rear mounted Warn 8000 for the now registered 2000 XJ.
Looks very possible at this stage.
Going for less weight on the front.
Less amp draw pulling back out the wheel ruts.
Pulling loads on to a trailers.
Rear springs better able to carry the load.

Found a front axle seal leak only a few weeks after I did the diff oil

Reading up on it I should do a few other items while its out. Unis, ball joints and possibly hubs, what do people think?
