It was fairly simple - mark out the blank holes through the mounted spare - remove spare and drill out the additional holes. Threaded rod with alum tube sized to fit through the blank spare nut holes -mark new holes on number plate and drill to fit. So x4 nuts, x2 threaded rod and alum tube spacers - x1 utility plate to mount the new plate LED light (piggy backed off the RHS tail light run through spare grommet in the gate and back above the sub box) Took me longer to pretty it all up with the cable sleeve and plugs behind the spare to disconnect the LED if I ever need to change the tyre.

Probably cost under $20 all up - I already had majority of the parts. The biggest was the new LED - but I have seen quite a few who don't run a light at all?

It's connected to my factory fitted REP radio, it gives me the two camera inputs, lets me watch DVD on the move (and have video out to another screen for the back) and also lets me enter an address in the navigation while on the move. I mainly got it for the cameras and the additional screen connections for the out

I have this all gig http://www.navtv.com/product/174/all...eShowProduct=1 along with the optional av harness (needed for the reverse camera etc).

Got the lot on ebay for $100 from someone who I think must have never fitted or bought the wrong one

Cheers

Test fitted the 22AH deep cycle battery, it just has to run the rear flood lights when in camp or on the trail (if needed). Charges through the dual battery setup, it should easily run a single 12W LED flood for 10 hours if needed with plenty in reserve.

Now to make a clamp to bolt it down and wire it in.

Cheers

how many flood lights do you have ?? 12W is only 1A.. hardly seems worth the trouble of wiring and fitting the thing when your stock battery will run it for days..

I have two at the moment and the Jeep was already all wired up for a dual battery setup but had no second battery, I tested it all worked and decided I may as well use it but didn't want a big battery back there with limited space

Better to be safe than sorry with the auto and no chance to push start

Testing with the motorbike battery, making sure the isolator works etc.

Also has an auxiliary plug wired to it.

Cheers
Steve

Stainless exhaust done with double dumpers.
Bonnet mount 20" LED bar done with pillar mount rocker switch.
Next mod, two front seats replacing the rear seats (made removable so I can do a 3 seat configuration so the Great Dane fits in the back with the teenage son and camping gear)
Need an American size rear license plate as well, to fit the relocation plate holder
